Tammi Gray earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Organizational Leadership with a concentration in psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Los Angeles, CA; Master of Science in Leadership & Management with a concentration in Human Resources Management from the University of La Verne, La Verne, CA., and Bachelor of Science in Business Management and is also certified in Organizational Design, Prosci Change Practitioner, Mental Health First Aid, and Polarity Practitioner. 


An educator and organizational practitioner with multidisciplinary experience in organizational development and change readiness, Dr. Gray integrates evidence-based practice with real-world leadership, followership, and workforce strategy. She is recognized for leading transformational change through a strong command of behavioral science, leadership and followership development, and people-and-culture strategy. Her work is grounded in a strong commitment to cultivating high-performing environments where individuals and teams thrive through innovation, continuous learning, collaboration, and shared accountability.


Dr. Gray's prowess in social dynamics and leadership development has positioned her as a trusted strategic partner.  

She advances organizational goals across diverse industries, including higher education, financial technology (FinTech), medical technology (MedTech), life sciences (BioTech), and information technology (IT). She has served as an instrumental force in the success of top-tier companies, consistently recognized among Fortune's 100 and 500 Best Companies to work for. Her contributions include collaborations with organizations such as Robert Half International, World Wide Technology, Illumina, Inc., Green Dot Corp., and UnitedHealth Group.


As a transformational leader, Dr. Gray excels in organizational development and effectiveness, as well as in preparing organizations for change. Throughout her career, she has been dedicated to creating inclusive and impactful work environments, leveraging a profound understanding of behavioral science. This command of the discipline enables the application of evidence-based tools and techniques that drive growth, foster innovation, and enhance collaboration. 


Dr. Gray’s commitment to optimizing organizational success parallels her dedication to academia. Beyond her leadership roles, she is a part-time college Professor at Pacific Oaks College, within the Community Psychology & Leadership program. This dual role enables her to bridge practical expertise and scholarly insights seamlessly. A dedication to academic excellence complements her commitment to effecting change in leading organizations. As a scholar, Dr. Gray continually expands her erudition through rigorous research, stays abreast of the latest developments in her field, and generously shares her expertise with others, inspiring a love of learning among her students and colleagues. The combination of practical experience, scholarly pursuit, and a passion for education defines her multidisciplinary approach to social psychology in organizational contexts.


Her most notable scholarship accomplishments and contributions to leadership and STEM communities include authoring a quantitative dissertation on Factors in the Career Advancement of Women Leaders of Color in IT: Mentorship, Leadership, and Career Sponsorship. Her current research interests encompass the psychology of group dynamics and intergroup relations, with a focus on explicitly exploring unconscious biases and investigating the impact of culture and ethnicity on social cognition, behavior, and identity.


Furthermore, Dr. Gray's impact extends beyond research. In 2021, she received the Women of Color STEM Technology All-Star Award, acknowledging her significant contributions to the technology profession. Building upon this acknowledgment, she was bestowed with the World Kindness Award in 2021 and the She Inspires Me Award (SIMA) in 2022, underscoring her dedication to mentoring and volunteer work. Her unwavering commitment to community service and leadership remains resolute.
